Description

Victorian Transformation is an 18 karat Yellow Gold Malachite Drop Victorian Necklace.  This important piece dates back to “1868”.  It features an 18 karat Yellow Snake like Gold Chain with a rectangular Malachite cube set in a Yellow Gold back one each side.  This leads to the main attraction which is a largest rectangular Malachite cube set in a Yellow Gold back.  This Malachite cube measures 3″ x 1/2″.  Fancy pin wheels adorn the sides of this Malachite cube.  Attached and dangling from the large Malachite cube are three square Malachite cubes (large center one and two smaller ends ones) with fancy caps dangling from fancy Yellow Gold hardware and rope chains.  The two smaller dangling ones measure 3/8″ in diameter and the larger dangling one is 1/2″ in diameter.  The Yellow Gold back of the center Malachite is script Hallmarked “Julia C. Schinch, Sept 22, 1868″.   The total length of this Necklace is 19”.  Circa 1868.
